When I find a crystal no longer resonates with me I go to the ocean and return it to the Earth.
I place the crystals that I no longer want near the water and light a candle. As the candle burns, I meditate and give thanks to the universe & Mother Earth.
The Earth will reclaim the crystals as the tide comes in and the salt water will cleanse them. Any residual energy from myself or my magick will be removed naturally. If someone finds the crystals someday, they will be ready to be used again.
